For the first time ever, the Multicultural Association of Caboolture and Surrounds Inc. will host an authentic Indian-themed event in the Moreton Bay Region. Diwali - Festival of Lights will be a celebration full of light, music, dance and authentic Indian cuisine!
Renown Sydney-based dance instructor Farah Shah and her Bollywood dancers will headline this exciting event. Farah is best known for choreography on popular shows "So You Think You Can Dance" and the "Australian MTV Awards".
Farah's team have danced for companies such as Thai Airways, Qantas, The PowerHouse Museum, AMP, Westpac, Coca Cola, and now for our Moreton Bay Diwali event.

Diwali or Dipavali is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance".
This free community event includes cultural performances, Indian market stalls, authentic Indian food, henna tattoos and children's activities.
