The Caboolture Multicultural Festival started in 2000 as a small event in Caboolture Town Square. It has grown from approximately 1000 visitors to between 4,000 and 6,000 visitors from the local community and surrounding suburbs. The festival promotes the culture and customs of the Caboolture Community with a wide array of foods, traditional dancing and performances and market stalls. The idea of sharing our culture with others with music, song and other skills gives visitors an insight into different cultures. It provides different cultural groups the opportunity to learn traditions and to share them with our young.
The Caboolture area has over 130 different cultures to celebrate; each with their own stories and traditions to show. Our Festival will have over 40 stalls and a number of live performing groups and entertainers. We also have free children’s activities such as face painting and arts and crafts.
